Goal #1: Virginia Alliance for a Cleaner Environment
We are all working on renewable energy standards, carbon reductions, local food support, recycling expansion and other sustainability issues on our campuses. As activists, we will benefit from having a statewide support network available for advice, solidarity, and refuge. The VACE structure and leadership will be determined at VA Power Shift. Preliminary planning is necessary; if you want to help, contact virginiapowershift@gmail.com.

Goal #2: Educate & Act
As professionals, activists, concerned citizens we need to be equipped with the facts and skills to make a clean energy future a reality in Virginia. The three branches at VA Power Shift allow attendees to specialize in technical, social, or action-oriented areas related to renewable energy and climate action. Check the schedule page and the branches for details on speakers and trainers.

Goal #3: Beyond the Movement
The last goal is to have fun. No matter what, if we remain a strong community of friends and allies we can conquer injustices and create a sustainable future. Make sure to make new friends, enjoy nature, and take comfort in knowing that we are more than just a movement, we’re a community.
